Incase Slider Review [iPhone Case]
![]()
Unfortunately I wasn’t able to write this sooner, during my fiasco with the wonderful people at Apple I managed to purchase one of the sleek and sexy slider iPhone cases. Absolutely satisfied with its performance so far, it certainly accommodates all of my iPhone protection needs, in this case plastic is better than rubber. If you are interested in reading the full review continue through the jump [full pictures and video], or you can view the photos I’ve taken right over here on my flickr stream.
Introduction - Typically I can’t be found writing reviews, because, more times than not I’m the one reading them. However, no one seemed eager to try out the new slider from incase. So I figured I would give it a go.
Design - Outside this case is all smiles, personally I found the black far more visually appealing than the white. I happily tested both (the white and black) models while being hustled by a wide variety of Apple employees. The fit is perfect; the case is divided into an upper section (larger) and a bottom section (smaller). Everything slides on tightly, meaning that while carrying this in my pocket for nearly a week it hasn’t moved even the slightest. Probably the only case I’ve ever seen that actually makes the product look better. Really, you need to look at the case to understand what I’m saying, jump to my flickr stream.
Update May 8th: I’ve had the case for quite awhile now and it still fits just as tight as when I first bought it. I am constantly taking the case on and off and it hasn’t missed a step. Also I’ve read numerous people ask about if the case is “slippery” the answer is no. Absolutely not. However it does smudge, but if your worried about it a simple wipe across your shirt should solve the problem. Still haven’t noticed any scratches.
Protection - Really, people can read the box all day, all this talk about four shock reducing rubber inserts. Blah, blah, blah. Basically it is just a plastic mold, it has rubber “tracks” down the bottom [inside] that allow for the case to stick to the phone [it also prevents scratches because of dust on the back]. If you dropped this, even from ear level I highly doubt anything would be damaged [cosmetically atleast], it will however, just like any other hard case be unable to protect the internals.
Conclusion - Honestly, all joking aside I intend for everyone that reads this review to hastily make their way to an Apple store and purchase one of these cases. Honestly if I was in the business of professional reviews I would most definitely give this case a five out of five. So, if your looking for a hard case, and don’t mind shelling out $35 bucks for what appears to be a black shiny piece of plastic, this is beyond a doubt the one to buy.
